For me, Aliens Tattoo School was more than just a school to learn the art, it was a place where my calling found purpose.
With a deep-seated passion for art and self-expression, Shivani Adhikari discovered her true calling at the Aliens Tattoo School!
Born into a busy household, she learned to harness her creativity and independence in time. Little did she know that this passion would take her on an extraordinary journey, transforming her from a FinOps Analyst to a professional tattoo artist.
Shivani's educational background is backed with a BA in Spanish Honors from Delhi University and a certification in Portuguese under her belt. However, her heart yearned for something more. While working as a FinOps analyst and completing various internships, she stumbled upon a life-changing conversation with a friend who introduced her to the world of Aliens Tattoo School. This chance encounter sparked a fire within her, and she knew she had to explore this path further.
The idea of permanently etching art onto someone's body ignited a spark within Shivani. With a mix of excitement and nervousness, Shivani made the bold decision to leave her comfort zone behind and set on a new adventure in Mumbai.
Joining the August 2021 batch at Aliens Tattoo School, became a significant milestone in her journey. Each step she took was filled with moments of doubt and thrill. From her first tattoo to the recognition that followed, Shivani's passion and dedication shone through. She pushed her boundaries, honed her skills, and quickly became a master in the tattoo community.
Shivani's hard work and talent did not go unnoticed. In 2024, she was awarded first place in the emerging artist category at Kula, a prestigious tattoo convention. Her exceptional skills in tribal and black work also earned her second place at the same event. These awards were not just a witness to her artistic abilities but also a reflection of her unwavering determination to succeed.
In her reflection on her journey, Shivani fondly recalls the transformative role Aliens Tattoo School played in shaping her into the artist she is today. With a heartfelt gratitude, she credits the school for providing not just the technical skills but also the guidance and inspiration that propelled her towards mastery in blackwork tattooing.
Shivani recalls, "For me, Aliens Tattoo School was more than just a school to learn the art, it was a place where my calling found purpose. The mentors there not only taught me the details of tattooing but also lit my path with their wisdom and encouragement. The lessons learned, the friendships forged, and the experiences gained at Aliens Tattoo School have been invaluable in shaping me into the artist I am today. It was within the walls of that school that I found my voice as a professional Blackwork Tattoo Artist.”
Today, Shivani's story stands as an inspiration, a witness to the power of following one's calling. From the chaos of her childhood to the creative fulfillment of her career, she has proven that with passion, hard work, and a willingness to take risks, anything is possible.
